Good Neighbor House

FANTASTIC place to visit when in need of help - seamless and easy to get in contact with kind, wonderful, caring people - they truly care so very much about their community. Good Neighbor House is a BLESSING - truly inspiring to feel like family when reaching out for support. My immense gratitude for the organization and all the people who work here is beyond appreciated. The smiles and graceful acceptance is humbling. I pray each individual at Good Neighbor knows how much they help those going thru a difficult time without any judgement and their time spent each minute of the day serving and helping their community is truly a life-changing moment for those in need. God Bless you all - Ms. Pat and Mr. Steven - your kindness blessed us, undeniably. “Thank You” will never be able to state how thankful we are - YOU are souls that make the world a brighter place. 🙌🏼

They seriously need to have somebody overseeing the food pantry department the volunteers that they have working back thetend to be pretty racist me and my neighbor went through there and barely got enough food for 2 days and a very small pack of lunch meat for me I brought my black girlfriend tback down there a couple hours lasir claiming one person the same as I she wound up witwo dozen eggs 4 things of milk and 3 huge bags of chicken legs

I called the food pantry on Thursday. I haven't visited since 2015, so I wanted to make sure I was aware of the rules. I was told to bring an ID and to come to the back door and they would have my order ready for me. I explained to the woman on the phone that I would be taking the bus from quite a distance away, then walking from the hub. She said that would be fine. When I arrived, I went to what I believed was the back door and called as instructed. The man who answered the phone told that I had missed my window, that my food had been reshelved, and that I could not return for 15 days. I was in shock and did not respond immediately. He then hung up on me. I was not informed that there was a time limit, particularly since I explained my transportation situation. I receive SSDI and I was unable to purchase food, so I was unable to eat more than two or three meals in FOUR DAYS. That's not two meals a day, that's two or three in *four days*. If you have ever experienced genuine food insecurity, you understand how distressing and painful this is. The other pantries in the area were closed by the time I left Good Neighbor House and they were all closed Fri-Mon. I am still recovering emotionally from the fear produced by going without food. I truly wish that I had gone to With God's Grace instead. I am deeply hurt by how coldly I was treated by this organization. I completely understand that rules exist for a reason, but I was not made aware of them and I shouldn't be expected to remember them after 8 years. I will never return, not that it matters to the people running this organization.

Dr. Sutton and her staff are outstanding! Dr. Sutton has a number of young dentists whom she appears to guide and mentor. It is evident that she is a strong leader because they are all quick, proficient and I must add PAINLESS and affordable. I don't know if dental medicine and/or techniques have advanced since I last saw a dentist or if it is all down to her skill but the overall experience is nothing like my past ordeals with dental care. If you are in pain or have some problem in your mouth, it is a serious medical condition. Go see her and your overall health will improve.
